So, after our short conversation today (said with tongue in cheek because 'short' is relative...right?!) I was thinking about all the things I was going to write you! This is just another new thing for me. In fact, I think I'll write it on my bucket list just so I can cross it off--blog. Check. Oh yeah, first write a bucket list. Details! Anyway, I miss you and love this idea because I will actually write here when I know you'll see it and still love me after some (rare) crazy comment! Thought for the day, since it's 10:00 pm I'll keep it short!
"An open mind is the beginning of self-discovery and growth. We can't learn anything new until we can admit that we don't already know everything." Erwin G. Hall I love you.
Did I dream that you are coming here? I have this giddy feeling inside and I want to make sure it's for real! The giddiness is for real--is the reason?!
So, yesterday was one of those productive kind of days that are so invigorating. At the end of the day I was feeling so smug with myself and as I stood in the kitchen to bask in my handiwork there was not much to see! I had spent a good part of the day doing what I thought was so much work only to see it cover a space of 2 feet! Oh mercy! That is what productivity looks like to me right now I guess! I pressure canned beans and made strawberry jam. I know, 8 tiny words! It doesn't even take up that much space to tell about it, but at the time it felt monumental! Then, I spent a good portion of time thinking of all the reasons why it really was monumental. 7 cans of beans. 7 jars of jam.
I'm reading a book called: The Anatomy of Peace. Wow. It is good. Deep. In a good way. It is the sequel to "Leadership and Self-Deception". Another zinger. Those books have really given me a lot to think about lately. I have a lot to work on that's all I have to say about that. Of course you've known that all along! Good night sweet one.
